microsynthera: fishing for wonder in small and useless things
Hi, there. I’m June, a.k.a. Aria Winter, a.k.a. Bug (it/she). I’m a lot like anybody else. I want to experience things; I want to learn things; I want to love and be loved. And, like anybody else, I want to make something of my time on earth. I want to make something special. At least to me.
I live in a pretty big city settled in a forested river valley. I’m a transgender woman and a communist. I identify with dragons, foxes, and rodents. I like reading sci-fi, fantasy, and non-fiction. I journal to keep myself sane and to mark the passage of time. My memento mori says I’ve spent between 30 and 40% of my life. Some of my favorite things are fungi, bugs, reptiles, board games, old computers, sour gummy candy, coffee, stationary, food, physics, and the occult. And none of this actually tells you who I am. Oh, well.
One thing I know is that everything and everyone is irrevocably interconnected, interlocked. Our technologies and habitats are extensions of our bodies. Our habitats are part of the natural world (we can’t escape nature). Every person is actually an amalgam. Their own machinery blending a lifetime of memory into qualia and perspective. Do you believe in this too? If you do, can you feel it? Can you feel the pulse in the power lines? Can you feel the boundaries of your body melt and shift? I want to; sometimes, I think I do. But, it’s just got to be enough to just be a small part of this cyborg superorganism.
This site is under construction; may it always be so.
Thanks for visiting. ^-^
Life is hard, so remember to be kind.
I hope you have a good .
